Habitats: Wherever roses grow.
Habits:
Foodplant: A long sinuous gallery in a rose leaf, including Burnet Rose, often with a sharp turn in the opposite direction. The mine is smaller than that of Stigmella anomalella, but similar when that species has linear frass. The summer generation also pupates on a leaf or at the base of a leaf stalk.
