Habitats: Woodland rides, gardens or wherever the foodplants are found.

Habits:

Foodplant: The larva forms a long, winding gallery mine, widening into a slightly inflated blotch in the centre of a leaf of Tutsan or Perforate St John's-wort and probably other St John's-worts. It pupates in a cavity within the blotch on the leaf.
