Similar species:

Forewing: 6 to 7.5mm

Habitats: Wasteground, dry pasture and roadside verges.

Habits: The moth sits on the flowers of its foodplant and flies in sunshine.

Foodplant: The larva feeds on the seeds then the lower leaves of Black Horehound. From early September it feeds from under the plant from a case made of concentrically arranged leaf fragments and soil particles. It pupates in the larval case.
