Habitats: Sites that are shaded or in dappled sunshine.
Habits: The moth will fly in morning sunshine (around 8am).
Foodplant: The larva lives in long silk tubes covered in fragments of lichen. It feeds on lichens on shady damp rocks, walls, wooden fences and tree trunks. It pupates in the silk tube.
