Habitats: Within cellars and foodstore warehouses.
Habits: The moth flies in the open on The Isles of Scilly and is not confined to buildings.
Foodplant: The larva feeds from a silk gallery on decaying vegetable matter, palm tree bark, coir, grass cuttings and under the bark of Karo Pittosporum crassifolium. It also feeds in various fungi, especially those associated with wine-cellars such as Wine Cellar Fungus Rhacodium cellare.
