Habits:
Foodplant: At first the larva mines an oval blotch on the underside of the leaf margin of Alder or occasionally Italian Alder or Grey Alder. It later lives in a succession of three small folds on the leaf margin. It pupates in a silk cocoon under a partly folded leaf edge.
