Habitats: Deciduous woodland, orchards and gardens.
Habits: There is often a partial autumn brood.
Foodplant: The larva forms a gallery mine on the upper side of an Apple leaf. The mine later becomes a blotch between the veins. The larva eventually inhabits two or three successive downward folds on the leaf margin. It pupates in a folded leaf edge in the leaf litter.
