Similar species:

Forewing: 3 to 4mm

Habitats: Parks, amenity planting, gardens, orchards and hedgerows.

Habits: The moth comes to light.

Foodplant: The larva makes a long, narrow mine over the midrib or a lateral vein on the upperside of a leaf of firethorns, apple, Hawthorn, whitebeams, Rowan or Beech. The mine eventually forms a silvery blister and causes the leaf to curl and roll upwards.
