Forewing: 3.5 to 4.5mm
Habitats: Woodland margins, hedgerows, wasteland and marsh.
Habits:
Foodplant: The larva is found on Field Bindweed, Hedge Bindweeds and Morning Glory. It makes a narrow twisting gallery with a central line of frass and leading to a clear blotch. The mine may cut off part of the leaf and cause it to die. This first mine is abandoned and a series of full depth windows are eaten. These are sometimes on another leaf. They feed from a spinning under the leaf which traps frass. The pupa is suspended from a leaf by a few silk threads.
