Forewing: 5.5 to 6.5mm

Habitats: Upland slopes, moors and heathland.

Habits: The moth flies in the early morning and also the late afternoon and early evening.

Foodplant: The larva feeds on Bilberry leaves from a frass covered silk tube on the ground or along a stem. Its feeding skeletonises the leaves. Pupation takes place in a frass covered spinning of dead Bilberry leaves and decaying vegetable matter. It may have a two year lifecycle.
