Habits: The moth comes to light.
Foodplant: The larva mines a large, elongate, pale upper-surface blotch, extending on both sides of the mid-rib of a leaf of SpearThistle, Creeping Thistle, Melancholy Thistle, burdocks and Common Knapweed. It later feeds in a web under a leaf. On Common Knapweed it rolls the leaf downwards. It pupates in the earth or in the leaf litter.
