Habits: The moth comes to light.
Foodplant: The larva bores the flower stems of Hemlock Water-dropwort, Tubular Water Dropwort, Fine-leaved Water Dropwort, Corky-fruited Water Dropwort, Stone Parsley and Whorled Caraway. In the final instars it feeds on the flowers and seeds from a strong silk tube. There may be several larvae in an umbel. It pupates in the stem spinning the exit hole with silk or in the leaf litter if feeding on Tubular Water Dropwort or Whorled Caraway.
