Habitats: Chalk and limestone downland, calcareous grassland, dry plant-rich slopes and meadows and waste ground.

Habits: The moth sometimes flies in the afternoon or evening and comes to light.

Foodplant: The early stages have not been recorded. The moth has been associated with Perforate St John's-wort.
