Forewing: 6 to 7.5mm

Habitats: Coastal shingle.

Habits: The moth can be swept from the foodplant. It comes to light.

Foodplant: The larva feeds from within a silk tube at the base of Sheep's Sorrel. The lower leaves are sometimes included in the spinning and drawn together. It pupates in a loose cocoon amongst the lower leaves of the foodplant or in the leaf litter.
