Habitats: Deciduous woodland, mature hedgerows with trees, old orchards and gardens.
Habits: The moth comes to light.
Foodplant: The larva lives in a turned down leaf margin or two leaves spun flat or spun to form a pod, on Crab Apple or Wild Pear and their cultivars. It pupates betwen spun leaves. On the European mainland it may also be found on Wild Plum and whitebeam.
