Habitats: Parkland, gardens and probably downland.
Habits: The moth comes to light.
Foodplant: The young larva mines the leaves and later feeds from a silk tube on leaflets or developing flower buds of Common Juniper, cypress, Lawson's Cypress or Red Cedar. These leaves become discoloured brown. It pupates in a tough white cocoon, possibly in the leaf litter. On the European mainland it may also be found on Italian Cypress and six other species of Juniper.
