Habits: The moth rest in crevices on oak trunks during the day. It comes to light.
Foodplant: The larva bores into the buds and shoots of oaks. This often cause wilting and may cause swelling and kill the shoot. It occasionally spin a leaf. The pupation site is not confirmed, but is possibly in a shoot.
