Forewing: 4 to 4.5mm
Habitats: Woodland rides and margins.
Habits: The moth occasionally comes to light.
Foodplant: The early stages are not recorded in Britain. On the European mainland the larva forms a gradually widening gallery mine running from the base of a leaf of Wood Millet or occasionally Upright Brome. The mine is blotchy and unevenly coloured, as it is a less than full depth mine. It pupates externally.
