Adventive. Naturalised.

Similar species:

Forewing: 5 to 6mm

Habitats: Scrubby sand dunes. Possibly damp woodland.

Habits: The moth comes to light. The moth was first discovered in 1998 near Bishop's Waltham, Hampshire. A native of Madeira.

Foodplant: The early stages have not been recorded in Britain, but probably vegetable debris.
