Habitats: Limestone grassland slopes.
Habits: The moth flies over the foodplant in sunshine from early afternoon through the evening.
Foodplant: The larva feeds on the lower leaves of Common Rock-rose and other rock-roses. It feeds from a silk tube extending from the roots, and pupates in May within a silk cocoon on the ground under the plant.
