Forewing: 4 to 5.5mm
Habitats: Breckland and other dry sandy soils.
Habits: The moth often rests on flowers during the day, including Sheep's-bit and Field Bindweed.
Foodplant: The larva feeds on the leaves of Sheep's Sorrel. It does this from a silk tube extending along a stem from the moss below the plant. It pupates in a cocoon spun to a leaf at the base of the foodplant or in the moss below it.
