Habits: The moth can be disturbed in the day and flies in the evening. The last British records were in the 1960s.
Foodplant: The larva feeds on the unripe seeds of Marsh Gentian. The autumn generation overwinters in the stem and feeds on the central shoots in the spring. It pupates on the foodplant.
