Foodplant: After overwintering as a small larva in a spinning on a twig, it feeds within young buds of of oaks, apple, poplars, sallows, larch and a wide range of other deciduous trees and shrubs. It later feeds from spun or rolled leaves. It pupates in a cocoon within a rolled leaf or its spinning.
