49.186 Teasel Marble Endothenia gentianaeana (Hübner, [1799])
Common
Similar species: Endothenia oblongana and Endothenia marginana can be similar to the smaller, darker forms of Endothenia gentianaeana, in those cases checking the genitalia will be needed for a positive identification.
Forewing: 6.5 to 9mm
Habitats: Wasteground, embankments, verges, open woodland, river-banks and quarries.
Habits: The moth is occasionally found resting on a seed-head after emergence. It comes to light.
