Similar species:

Forewing: 10 to 15mm

Habitats: Dry grasslands, calcareous downland, quarries, embankments, breckland and sand-dunes.

Habits: The moth rests on the ground during the day and is easily disturbed. It flies from dusk onwards and comes to light.

Foodplant: The early stages are unknown. Rock-roses and (less likely) Field Woundwort are suggested as foodplants, but are unconfirmed.
