Habitats: Salt-marsh, coastal shingle, sand-dunes and wasteground.

Habits: The moth is easily disturbed during the day. It has been found on Common Fleabane flowers at night and it comes to light.

Foodplant: The larva feeds on goosefoots, seablites and glassworts. It pupates in a dense silk cocoon above the ground.
