Habits: The moth is occasionally disturbed from trees during the day. It flies from dusk and later comes to light.
Foodplant: The larva feeds on Hornbeam. It lives between two spun leaves and eats small round holes in them. It pupates in a folded leaf which falls to the leaf litter in the autumn.
