Forewing: 9 to 11mm
Habitats: Downland scrub, hedgerows, verges, embankments and gardens.
Habits: The moth rests on tree trunks and in foliage during the day, from where it can be disturbed. It is nocturnal and comes to light.
Foodplant: The larva feeds on the withered leaves of Ivy, Traveller's-joy, Groundsel and the garden plant Golden Alison (Golden Alyssum). In captivity it accepts Knotgrass. It pupates in a cocoon in the leaf litter.
