Habits: The moth can occasionally be found on tree trunks or disturbed from vegetation during the day. It comes to light.
Foodplant: The larva feeds on both large trees and saplings of Field Maple. In captivity it accepts Sycamore and other Acer species. It pupates attached to a leaf by a silk girdle or amongst moss.
