Immigrant

Similar species: Oblique Carpet Orthonama vittata has a broader bar across the forewing which is paler towards the leading edge.

Forewing: 12 to 14mm

Habitats: Warm habitats. As an immigrant it may come to light almost anywhere, including gardens.

Habits: The moth comes to light.

Foodplant: The early stages have not been recorded in Britain and Ireland. In captivity it will take Knotgrass, docks, Groundsel, Common Ragwort, Chrysanthemum sp., Field Bindweed and other low-growing plants.
