Similar species: Juniper Carpet Thera juniperata has a more defined bar across the forewing and lacks the two dark streaks running from the centre of the wing.

Forewing: 12 to 15mm

Habitats: Parkland and gardens.

Habits: The moth can be found at rest on the foodplant at night. It comes to light.

Foodplant: The larva feeds on Monterey Cypress. In captivity it will accept Leyland Cypress.
