Similar species: The green only form of Red-green Carpet Chloroclysta siterata does not have a distinct white edge to the cross-band, but does have a dark trailing edge to the band which often forms a black bar in the males. Autumn Green Carpet Chloroclysta miata does not have such a contrasting distinct white edge to the cross-band and is a less warm yellow-green.
Forewing: 13 to 15mm
Habitats: Woodland and moorland. In the south woodland on calcareous soils.
Habits: The moth is easily disturbed from tree trunks, fence posts and rocks during the day. It flies from dusk and comes sparingly to light.
Foodplant: The larva feeds on Lady's Bedstraw, Heath Bedstraw, Hedge Bedstraw and possibly other bedstraws. It pupates in the leaf litter.
