Habits: The moth has been recorded nectaring at Common Valerian during the day. It comes sparingly to light.
Foodplant: The larva feeds on sallows, Aspen and Bilberry. It pupates in a flimsy cocoon in loose soil.
On the European mainland it has been recorded feeding on Goat Willow and Bridewort.
