Habitats: The drier parts of salt-marsh, coastal walls and embankments.

Habits: The moth is sometimes disturbed from the foodplant during the day. It comes to light.

Foodplant: The larva feeds on the flowers and leaves of Sea Wormwood. It pupates in the leaf litter or in loose soil.
