Similar species: Light Emerald Campaea margaritaria has less rounded forewings, less curved inner cross-line and has an orange dash in the tip of the forewing.

Habitats: Calcareous grassland scrub, hedgerows, open woodland and gardens.
Habits: The moth is occasionally disturbed from the foodplant. It flies from dusk and comes sparingly to light.
Foodplant: The larva feeds on Traveller's-joy and garden Clematis. It pupates in a spinning on the foodplant.
