Habitats: In Europe it inhabits mountain moorland and grasslands.
Habits: The first record of this moth in Britain was at light in West Sussex in May 2005.
Foodplant: On the European mainland it feeds on docks and sorrels, Dandelion, plantains, Yarrow, hawkweeds, cinquefoils, Cypress Spurge, grasses such as Tufted Hair-grass and small-reeds, and many other low growing plants. It pupates amongst plant foliage or in the leaf litter.
