Similar species: This moth is unlikely to be mistaken for any other British or Irish species.

Forewing: 7.5 to 9mm

Habitats: Arid grassland. The first British record was from Titchfield, South Hampshire on 25th October 2022 with another on the 29th in North Essex. The moth is found all along the Meditteranean, Israel, South Africa and India.

Habits: It flies from dusk and comes to light. In warmer climates it is found through the year.

Foodplant: Grasses.
