Immigrant

Similar species: This moth is unlikely to be mistaken for any other British or Irish species.

Forewing: 15 to 16mm

Habitats: In Europe it inhabits hot, dry slopes in open areas.

Habits: The moth nectars at flowers during the day and at dusk. It occasionally comes to light.

Foodplant: The early stages have not been recorded in Britain. On the European mainland it has been recorded feeding on Field Wormwood, Mugwort, other wormwoods and goosefoots. It pupates under the soil.
