Similar species: If care is taken this moth is unlikely to be mistaken for any other British or Irish species.
Forewing: 17 to 19mm
Habitats: In southern Europe it inhabits dry grassy plains and arid areas.
Habits: The only British record of this moth was at sugar near Brockenhurst, Hampshire on 16th August 1935.
Foodplant: The early stages have not been recorded in Britain. In southern Europe and the southern Mediterannean the larva has been recorded feeding on gorse and Spurge Laurel.
