Habits:
Foodplant: The larva forms a greatly widening gallery mine in a leaf of White Willow, Osier, Weeping Willow, Purple Willow or Bay Willow. The mine has a variable course, usually with several long almost straight segments. It pupates in a cocoon in the leaf litter. The summer generation pupates on a leaf.
