Habitats: Wherever Black Poplar or its hybrids are found.
Habits:
Foodplant: The larva forms a straight and narrow gallery mine often following a vein on the underside of a leaf of Black Poplar (including its forms and hybrids). The mine later widens considerably resembling a blotch. The frass may be linear or dispersed. It pupates in a cocoon in the leaf litter.
