Forewing: 2.5 to 3mm

Habitats: Woodland, hedgerows, gardens, wherever Hawthorn grow.

Habits:

Foodplant: The larva forms a gallery mine constrained between two veins or less frequently between a lateral vein and the leaf margin of a Hawthorn leaf. This quickly widens into a secondary blotch. It pupates in a cocoon in the leaf litter.
