Habits:
Foodplant: The larva forms a relatively narrow gallery mine in a Beech leaf. It becomes a wide gallery that often crosses a vein and mostly runs from somewhere near the leaf margin in the direction of the midrib. It pupates in a cocoon in the leaf litter.
