Similar species: Antispila treitschkiella looks identical. It should be reared from the foodplant or the genitalia should be checked.
Forewing: 2.5 to 3mm
Habitats: Woodland margins, downland, scrub and scrubby cliffs.
Habits: The moth flies in afternoon sunshine.
Foodplant: The larva forms a gallery leading to a large blotch with scattered frass on a Dogwood leaf. It pupates in leaf litter in an oval case cut from the mined leaf.
