Similar species: Antispila petryi looks identical. It should be reared from the foodplant or the genitalia should be checked.
Forewing: 2.5 to 3mm
Habitats: Deciduous woodland, hedgerows, scrub, roadsides and gardens.
Habits: The moth flies in afternoon sunshine. The first UK record was in London in 2016.
Foodplant: The larva forms a gallery leading to a large blotch with scattered frass on a Cornelian Cherry leaf. It pupates in the leaf litter in an oval case cut from the mined leaf.
