Habitats: Deciduous woodland, downland, parks and gardens, mountain uplands.
Habits: The moth flies in sunshine and comes to light.
Foodplant: Several larvae inhabit a leaf and form blotch mines on Bilberry, Cloudberry and occasionally Dogwood and Prunus spp. Each larva cuts a case from its blotch and then descends to the ground to feed on dead leaves. It pupates in the case.
