Forewing: 6 to 8mm

Habitats: Heathland.

Habits: The record in Devon on 7th July 1979 was of a female recorded flying in morning sunshine. A more recent second record was on 31st July 2020 at Hythe, Kent. The moth has probably been overlooked. On the European mainland it has been attracted with a "HOR" clearwing pheromone lure.

Foodplant: On the European mainland the larva feeds in the bracket fungus Turkeytail Trametes versicolor.
