Habitats: Wherever it can source the larval foodstuffs.

Habits: The moth comes to light.

Foodplant: The larva feeds on animal detritus in bird's nests and sometimes wool located outdoors. It makes temporary cases to use while small and while moulting. It pupates in a cocoon in the nest.
