Habitats: In and around farm buildings and houses. Otherwise wherever it can source the larval foodstuffs.
Habits: The moth comes to light.
Foodplant: The larva feeds on wool, textiles and seeds such as corn, oats and flour. It also feeds on animal and plant detritus including that found in pigeon nests, other birds nests and poultry houses.
