Habits: The moth rests high in the tree during the day. It comes to light.
Foodplant: The larva feeds on Small-leaved Lime, other limes and birches or occasionally Sycamore or Beech. It mines the tip of a leaf in the first instar then it feeds externally from a leaf roll. It pupates in a white silk cocoon in a rolled down edge of a leaf.
